Vaporwave is one of the most underrated genres of music of our time. It encompasses much of the desires of the working class people of the early 21st century. A promised future that never came and a past that never was. Muzak, the epitome of emptiness, given meaning by Children of the Wired mashing away at Audacity. A rejection of high-fidelity of music and an inward glance at what was left for the future of music.
